A New Model for Successful Safe Patient Handling Programs

The purpose of this paper is to describe an innovative solution to Safe Patient Handling and Mobility (“SPHM”) at Stanford Hospitals and Clinics (“SHC”). The program has been functional for almost 1 year and a clear pattern is emerging, such that predictions are easily made.

The paper is a joint study and publication from Stanford’s Risk Authority and ATLAS Lift Tech.
